Now that a new Star Wars movie has been released may be a good time of thinking the franchise's storyline and characters.
While it may seem at first that the episodes come in quite an awkward order - 4,5,6, then 1,2,3, followed now by 7 and an uncounted prequel of Episode 4 - they do have a coherent structure of their narrative.
However, what doesn't is the age of the characters and actors chosen to portray them. Let's be more specific:
- in the original 1977 movie, later known as Episode 4, Obi-Wan Kenobi is played by Sir Alec Guiness, who was actually 63, but was made to look about 70. However, he is described to be about 25 in the novel of Episode 1. Since the plot of Episode 1 was set 32 years before Episode 4, Obi-Wan should have been about 57
-what is even more exaggerated is the age difference of the various impersonations of Darth Vader: since the boy Anakin was 9 in Episode 1, 32 years later he should be 41 in Episode 4 and 47 in Episode 6, respectively. However, in the final scenes of Episode 6 the unmasked Vader is played by a far more senior actor, Sebastian Shaw, who was 77.
-so probably the most accurate aging of Star Wars character are those of Han Solo and Leia Organa, who were played by the same actors throughout the years. Harrison Ford was 35 when Episode 4 was released and 73 at the release of Episode 7; Carrie Fisher was 21 and 59, respectively.

Good points. however 32 from 70 is 38 and as such highly acceptable. especially since we never really know how old Kenobi was in episode 4, a little poetic license should be acceptable. As for Vader what he looks like or what his age may be is really irrelevant. He is in a biosuit which I would think has some debilitating effects maybe including aging.
