Partying at Ikea

It seems that some Ikea stores in Europe are experiencing a phenomenon sparked by a YouTube video. Sneaky teens have been having sleepovers in the bedding department of the furniture stores. Apparantly they hide somewhere in the store until it closes and then find a comfy place to sleep in one of the beds. I think YouTube videos inspire bizarre behavior sometimes. What say you?
The Swedish furniture shop is open to the idea, but wants to see it happen in a 'controlled environment'

That's what I think. Some of the kids hid in a cabinet for hours waiting for the store to close. I wonder if maybe there are no alarm systems in those stores.

@clrumfelt Apparently not, how else could they have stayed overnight there. And for what purpose did they do this. The article didn't mention that they were stealing only staying overnight.

@fishtiger58 They were just doing it for mischievous fun because the YouTube video challenged them to do it. I did a YouTube search and apparently it is a trend for kids to hide in stores or restaurants for a night or two. Lots of videos from their overnight escapades in various places.

i can't imagine hiding in a cabinet for several hours just to sleep in a good bed and for internet notoriety. what about eating and drinking? the internet is a double-edged sword, isn't it?

It is a double-edged sword. I guess the kids were looking for some adventure and saw the YouTube video.
