If you're freelancing or running an online business and not tied to any location, then it is possible. I'm currently a freelance writer so I can basically write from anywhere, even when I travel. :)

i've tried that before but the pay was not good.
where do you usually get clients?
or from what website or platform?

@strawberry8 I applied directly, it's a local company. But I know many freelance writers start by doing small gigs on websites like Upwork, Odesk, etc. I personally have never tried any of them though.
