It is now 8:15 in the evening , December 24. , here in the Philippines . We are waiting for 12:00 midnight . So , i have lots of time to myLot.
I cooked spaghetti just this late afternoon and at 10:00 p.m. i will turbo broil the chicken i marnated well last night . Brother-in-law made his Waldorf salad . it's the first time he tried it because every year it's chicken macaroni salad i am making.
Hubby was at work and has just arrived an hour ago . He ate spaghetti .
I already heated the pear shaped ham at the turbo broiler . We already have bought a cake and a 2 liter coke .
We are ready for our noche buena , a tradition of the Catholics to prepare foods and eat it at the strike of 12:00 midnight. , to start Christmas!
Tomorrow , Christmas, we shall all go to to church .
I know not all of us here practices this nor Christmas . Nonetheless , let me greet each and everyone , Merry Christmas !

Merry Christmas! My wife is also cooking spaghetti and spring rolls tonight. So how's the weather down there? Has Nina land fall already? Hope this typhoon does not spoil our Christmas, your province would be one of the first to be hit. Yeah church service tommorrow for us non-Catholics.

Oh your wife had spaghetti too and spring rolls . We enjoyed our noche buena that evening , sadly on Christmas evening we were hit by Nina though not badly . But our hometown and other neighboring towns were hit badly .
Since then , the province has no electricity All generators only .

@louievill That;'s also that way with our place , in Daraga . But other towns surrounding us were a bit badly hit .
But i am glad , because of preemptive evacuation of the poor people who have not so strong houses , no one got hurt.
I hope within this week the electricity will already be restored .

@SIMPLYD sorry to hear that, we were very fortunate it weakened when when it reached Batangas, cause after that Laguna, and next would be us since we are a Southern Metro Manila city. It did not rain thank God and the wind was not so strong as expected.

@SIMPLYD my off duty days are: Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Saturday and Sunday. i have 2 days duty only, Thursday and Friday.

So how was your Christmas eve? What did you cook , my friend ?
I only get the chance to myLOt now , because i am back at the office . At the residences we have no electricity . Even here at the office we are using generator .
We were hit by a typhoon , Dec. 25 evening and since then the electricity is down .

@SIMPLYD I have posted photos of the food I prepared, we were only my husband and I the Christmas Eve, it was a very pleasant and quiet dinner. I have read about the typhoon, I hope you had no major damages. Yesterday we were out all the day, we have celebrated our wedding anniversary.

Interesting to know how your Christmas is. Here we have visits from neighbours who bring sweets that they normally make at home. Carols are blasting in the background. Kitchen is active too I have had that party for poor kids - this time for the mentally challenged. It was a full day on December 15. There were in all 125 of which 85 were children.

@allknowing I always do . I make use of the idle time having no electricity like reading health books . 
Then , yesterday , my daughter and i went to our hometown to visit my parents and relatives . We are happy they are okay .

Merry Christmas, we are going to church on Christmas eve, we don't have a midnight Mass anymore it is a 9 p.m. but this way I am free to fix Christmas dinner tomorrow. I hope you enjoy your midnight dining. Peace to you and yours as well.

Yes, we had fun on Christmas eve . We ate the foods we prepared .
Sadly , the next day , CHristmas day , a typhoon hit our province in the evening .
The province and neighboring provinces also are now with no electricity .
Good thing , we have a generator though we use it for a few hours only because it's noisy.
Even at the office , we use generator .

We are really praying it will return before New Year's eve.
Yes, the special lamps are now being utilized . We recharge them , when we turn on our generator , even for a 3- 4 hours a day .
