The Day After Christmas ... Shopping Madness!

The nation's second greatest shopping day of the year here in the USA is December 26th and people are going shopping for all those mark down items and special wrappings just to get ahead for the next Christmas or maybe late shoppers who had to work on Christmas who have to celebrate late.
The idea of a Day After Christmas is a good one.
I think people will be spending more after Christmas doing both exchanges and shopping even more with store credit gift cards as well as the gift cards they received from others at Christmas. Shopping will help burn off some of those holiday calories.

@Hatley , That is good to know. I take 2 at bedtime when I need to stop the sniffles but it does make me groggy in about 30 minutes and I have a hard time watching late night t.v. or reading a book and usually go to bed early.

I hate allergies! They make me have to take Benadryl tablets and I still have to keep a box of Kleenex tissues handy 24/7. Hope you get better real soon so you can enjoy a more relaxed state of mind.

You know it. And I agree. We all tend to over spend at this time of year. - then buyer's remorse sets in. lol

We avoid the madness you speak of and save money by staying home.
It has worked for us for many years.

I was at Sam's Club this morning and the place was packed with after Christmas shoppers.

@TheInvisibleMan , Yea. I was in and out as fast as Possible! I was only there to buy a new car battery. An emergency purchase, otherwise I would have stayed home.

I worked this morning and headed back to work right after a meal. Split shifts work well on Mondays, as a chance to eat with my husband.

I've always waited for big discounts such as this so the day after Christmas shopping is a plus for me!

Apart from the gift vouchers, I am always surprised that so many people still have disposable income after Christmas.
