Dealing with emotional pain

December 27, 2016 6:00am CST
Being hurt means just that your body reacts to certain thoughts and perceptions. It’s a sensation similar to sneezing. If you fight it, it will increase the pain. (What you resist, persist). Do you agree? How do you handle emotional pain?

well what i try to do is to still my self through self hypnoses and get my thoughts off that person or thing that is upsetting then i follow through with blocking out the hurt and not the person basically i just do a mental reprogramming.

I like that. I do the reprogramming as well. I ask myself a lot of questions and usually I realize its all my interpretation, not the truth.

Do some constructive work or exercise usually helps. An idle mind feels too much and it ain't always good

Feeling pain is all part of life. We just have to learn to deal with it the best we can and move forward.

@PinkZebra find something else to keep you mind occupied like hanging with friends, working out at the gym, writing, listening to music, etc.

@Happy2BeMe These things bring me jos if I'm emotionaly clean (so to say), Ignoring what bothers me and refocusing on something else, can just make things worse I need to descover the cause, except it and then I can move on. Not saying it has to be the same for everybody else, thats just how it works for me. And thats why I wanted to see howt other people deal with emotional pain :)
