Bleary Eyed Start To My Day

United States
December 27, 2016 8:12am CST
I'm sitting here trying to interact with my eyes half closed. My coffee can't work fast enough!! I am so tired from all the holiday celebrating that I planned on sleeping a little later this morning but of course the phone rang and woke me up and then I figured I might as well get up, shower and come downstairs and make my coffee. Any other day the phone doesn't ring so early. Our Christmas was fun but exhausting. I couldn't even muster the energy to sit at the computer yesterday and since the grandkids were still here and my daughter didn't have work it seemed useless to try to have computer time. Today everyone is gone, the house is quiet and I can enjoy the day even though it's foggy and rainy outside. It's nice to be back

It is nice to have that hectic (but fun) time over and things back to what we call normal sometimes.

Usually I recover from holidays very quickly by the following day but for some reason this year Im not recovering as fast as other years. I too was planning on getting some extra rest last night but the darn dog did not have the same idea and was excited to go outside at 7am!!! Oh well I will recover eventually

It just seems that on days you expect to sleep a little later something prevents it

@Marilynda1225 oh yes I totally agree every time i dont have to get up early and can sleep in someone or something happens and I have to end up waking up way earlier. I have problems with sleeping as it is so i never feel rested. For some reason i wake up early night around 2:30 am to 3 Am and im wide awake for not reason :( Its so annoying!

Another reason I'm glad it's is just the two of us....no company is a welcome relief from the years of too much and too many people.

I don't have work today so of course I was up at 5:15am. haha It is almost 10am and I've already been out of the house twice. I don't know what to do with myself!

The Christmas guests have all departed. Now my two day stint of babysitting has expanded. Our princess has a rash...probably viral, so no daycare this week. Good thing grandma likes to cuddle.

And nice to have you back too. We were up super-early so I don't know if we'll last the whole day. We might need a nap later.
