Flowers from Home

There's nothing like home - and I know that for certain as both my homes are so different from each other. My little house in Thailand has the makings of a really nice garden - only I've not been there for the cultivation in 9 months - it's amazing how the jungle climate encourages growth despite any odds.
The house itself is an older cinder block simple structure - very typical yet a little bigger than other houses built in that time. With a large yard - there was plenty of room to dream up a garden - complete with water features for both visual aesthetics & for interactive relaxation.
My roses bloomed just at the dawning of the New Moon - a sweet aww moment that my friend captured on digital & sent my way. It was waiting for me in my inbox this morning when I arose. Constantly assuring me my home is/was fine - wanting me to return - my friend has forgotten one critical detail - my roses are yellow ^_^ Still - an endearing act of love - wanting me to have faith that my garden is thriving - a delightful fantasy to entertain. I'm more of a realist and thankful that the coconut tree made it through the monsoon season quite well. I'd guessed long ago that the lab had dug up the roses within days of my departure. It's what he does - dogs! ^_^
Standing between two worlds - often looks a bit askew and having sea legs helps as well for steadying the rise & swell of opposing consciousnesses that envelope a multi-cultural lifestyle.
Balancing returning to a home I'd not rooted to in over 12 years - a home I hadn't seen in nearly 8 years - against a home that has nurtured me, warmed my soul and taught me to open my heart to love again. I have to admit - I want the best of both.
