Do you have a friend that is a PWD (Person with Disability)? Do you appreciate them? I want to hear your stories.
I want to hear your stories and I want to learn how do you help your friend and how do you socialize with each other and to other people. I am currently taking my bachelor majoring in Special Education. I want to learn more from around the world from you guys.
Thank you ![](/Content/images/emotes/happy.gif)

@HappyChubby
In Class at School I had to sit by a girl with hearing disability and we were great Friends for a time. Also one of my "nephews" contracted muscular dystrophy and I always treated him as normally as I could while he was alive. There are a few others I could mention but it could take a whole book. They are the ones that come to mind for me. I did not see a disability I saw them as they were.

Sorry for the abbreviation of PWD. PWD stands for Persons with Disability :)

I'm guessing that's some kind of learning-related disorder?

@HappyChubby Oh my bad. My only experience was when I used to volunteer at a geriatric center. It was very enlightening, they made me understand better the challenges that I otherwise wouldn't have realized.
