Santa Baby, I need to return something you got me

My husband doesn't trust himself to buy me electronics - and I don't blame him! So early in December we went to a major electronics store in Cleveland, TN. I took my current digital camera to show them what I was using and stated that I wanted something similar. No problem the salesman said....he led me to the cameras and he picked out a Canon with similar features but even better than what I had. Good deal, OK. Guess what - they only had one in stock and it had no battery in the package. They couldn't find a spare battery that fit. So, they did a little upselling - got a more expensive Canon out of the stockroom, said it was so new it wasn't on the floor yet. The salesman said it had all the features I wanted. My main feature request was the usb cable to transfer photos for the camera to the computer. He swore it had that and a card. So, Santa paid for the camera, wrapped it when we got home and put it under the tree. Sunday I opened it (surprise, surprise) and said I would play with it later. When I get a new toy I need peace and quiet...yesterday I had that. I opened the package and guess what, no card and no usb cable. Naturally they don't give you a user's manual, so I went online. Hum, the camera is WIFI equipped. I don't want to use WIFI and if I did the instructions to set up the camera were more in line with someone with a degree in digital cameras...way more than I want to mess with for sure. We only have a few days left to return it so we will be heading there today. If they can't find me a camera with the features I want then I will ask for a refund and keep my current camera until I can find one online that suits my needs. It has been remedied.....I got the usb cable that wasn't included in the box!

I would have expected any digital camera to have a USB output for connecting to a computer.

It does, but when I went to Cannon's site and read about the camera all it talked about was wifi - did not even mention usb.

I have a wifi DSLR we bought a few months ago and we splurged on it. We do have a different DSLR but its not newer like this baby! I have not even fully read the manual I leave it up to my boyfriend to figure it out. I hope you find a camera that works for you!

Most of the new cameras come withe the WIFI option - of course it was even stated on the package you have learn that through osmosis I guess.
