I was gone most of the day today. I was having blood work and a doctor's appointment. I was pleased to learn that in spite of Thanksgiving, and Christmas, oh, and Halloween, I still lost six pounds in the last three months. Not a lot, but better than a gain. I picked up some things I need. I got a new hooded coat, so I am warm when on recess duty. I also got a new slicer/grater that will help keep my hands out of harm's way. Tomorrow we have a funeral dinner at our church. I am doing green beans with bacon and almonds so I got two big cans of green beans. I want to walk more when weather permits, so I bought a wire cart. I had to put the rear wheels on but it will be very handy to have when I want to walk but need to haul something as well. It should make me walk more. So shopping is where I have been today, and I will be at the church for a while tomorrow. Hubby has already headed to bed.

Six pounds is not too bad and two pounds a month it's the best to avoid to gain the pounds back.

I think having a job and being conscious of health things for one of the kids I work with has really helped me. Usually I gain during this time frame.

@GardenGerty This is a very bad time of the year, but for the moment I happy to notice that I did not gain weight.

Good for you. Losing it slow and steady with exercise is the way to go.

This is one of those times where I am not really trying. Being relaxed about it seems to help a lot.

You seem to get a lot more done than I do. I feel good about the stuff I do get done though. I see on FB that Liz is trying to find a place to live.

If there was any place to shop here in town, I would. We MAY have a market. I can think of a lot of other things this cart will be great for, though.

It does feel good, especially since I did not have to "diet" to do it, just move more and pay attention a little to the food.

Your 6 pounds lost is a great achievement in my book especially through the holidays

I have a large shopping cart. I love it. I use it for both groceries and laundry. I bought it when I moved as I knew there wouldn't be anymore help bringing groceries in. I never thought of using it as an aid for walking. I don't think mine would work very well for that as it doesn't push, you have to pull it. It has two large back wheels and two smaller wheels. It's the larger wheels that guide it.

I too love to walk when the weather permits and when I am totally in the mood for it. Besides, it's good for health too isn't it? I like to feel the fresh winds against my face. By the way six pounds is not bad really!
