Diary Friday 30th December 2016 The Eve Of New Year’s Eve

I had some bills to pay today, just as my last full wage came in from my now completed post office contract casual temping work. I also picked up a little food to tide me through the bank holiday that will see me through to the next year and paid my rent too.
After the shopping I went to the library for a few hours before returning to the flat.
I exchanged stories with two other writers as part of an ongoing proof reading project
for our anthology to be published next month.

@Asylum yes my contract officially ran out on December 22nd but I got to work on Xmas Eve but that is that though they might yet call me back for more

@Asylum I am still on the shortlist of staff they could potentially call back if recquired but it will be up to them to call me on that

@maezee they could call me back yet - I just have to wait and see - there will be work there again next year but hopefully I'll find work before then

Nice to exchange work with other writers. I used to do some editing for a newsletter type Sci-fi magazine I was a part of back in the 80;s. It was interesting and fulfilling.
