Yeah, I'm not going to make it. I had a wonderful hot toddy and it's made me sleepy. So much for ringing in the new year. Well, for those of you braving the midnight hour yell a little louder for my sake when it comes. See you all next year have a wonderful evening and if you're on the east coast then you're already celebrating. Have a safe and happy new years eve.

We braved the midnight hour and was bored to tears. The New Year's Eve celebrations on tv are beginning to be boring. I don't know if its because I am getting older or because entertainers are getting worse?

Happy New Year to you as well. I'm not sure if the fireworks my neighbor so kindly set off started at midnight or before but either way the loud boom of one of them went off right over my mobile home which naturally woke me up and terrified mom's kitties. I do know I tried to get back to sleep after all that booming at around 2am. I tossed and turned then finally got up at 6am. I wish I could send my neighbors away for every holiday just to get a peaceful one.

It is illegal here as well @LadyDuck but they do it anyway and when I have called the sheriff in the past they did very little to stop the process.

@rebelann Neither of us could sleep. We went to bed at 1:43AM and we're up at 6:30AM. I shall be taking a nice nap later. We did have a lot of fun with good food and even better company.

Well, I did go to bed around 10pm but at midnight some bozo started setting off huge fireworks with the loudest booms I've ever heard.
