Do You Like To Sell Online Or Just Buy Online?

With so many different forms of way to sell now, including offline, and many different ways to buy online I wonder what is each others preference here. For me, I love Selling online and all the different ways one can earn some extra money. Since it is also part of the online business that I do that helps teach a person how to and where to sell online to be successful, this is something that really has worked well for me. The nice thing I enjoy about it, is I am not limited on what type of items I might choose to sell as well. I sell on eBay, Bonanza and Amazon and have had months and sales where I earn about what others make working for someone else or more. But at the same time, I have been known to shop on various sites as well. We personally love Amazon and buy from there a lot. If you are looking for something different always check Amazon or eBay first.

@KrauseHome oh yea. basically, you design products and if somebody buys it,you get a percentage.you can set the percentage, but too high and they'll hit you with a fee.you have to make at least 100 in a pay period to get a check.

I LOVE Zazzle! :) That's been my main source of income lately. December was a really good month for me. I've been doing Zazzle since 2011 though so I've spent a lot of time on it. I just cash out through PayPal because you only need $50 although I could get the check because sales have been good for me lately. I hope you have a good year with Zazzle this year!

@KrauseHome If they don't deliver by Canada Post, I can't use them. There are no couriers coming out to the middle of nowhere.

I buy a lot of things online. I've tried selling stuff online without much success. I've used Close 5, LetGo and Craigslist. My niece advised me not to sell stuff on E-Bay.

I was never able to fully get what Close5 is. Looks sort of like OfferUp. Are you having any success there?

scam
@KrauseHome ~I've bought some stuff on Close5 & LetGo, but haven't sold anything. I got a couple of those, "I'll send you a cashiers check for more then my agent will come pick it up." (See pic.) The first time I got this response, I was selling a dining room set. I figured sure let me send it. The "cashier's check" came, with the name of a bank with local branches. It was just as a suspected, that cashier's check wasn't worth the paper that it was printed on.

@flpoolbum Unfortunately, this is a Scam that I am sure most people have had happen to them before. Now I only take Cash when it is local, and if online I usually use Paypal for payments until I can find something better.

Used to sell on eBay. Decided to close shop when I wasn't in agreement with the changes that they introduced. Planning to sell online again this year. Bought a couple of items online and I see advantages and disadvantages when transactions are made online.

@allen0187 Selling on like the local Facebook groups can be time consuming but profitable when the person really comes thru. I hate the I want the item and then never come for it. But wishing you the Best

@MattMeng Yes, it can be hard to sell online if you do not have the proper knowledge and training. I am with a company that has taught me how to properly sell online in different areas and be successful. I Love being with this company and everything I have learned there.,

I used to sell on Ebay and it worked well for me. Besides, I still sell used items on local sites and get them sold quickly. I really love to sell online as you can earn money and space at home. Amazon is a wellknown site worldwide, but I haven't used it yet. Maybe I will try in the future.

@Meramar I belong with a company online that teaches and trains people in how to sell on eBay, Bonanza and Amazon and how to be successful doing so. It helped teach me some of the many ins and outs a person might want to learn as well. I am not sure I would have ever considered trying to sell on Amazon without it.

@KrauseHome In that case we have to check up if it is profitable to sell on Amazon. Depending off what you want to sell, there are some second hand sites where you can sell for free (at least in Spain).

I actually many times prefer selling something to someone in person more than selling online, especially since you have a lot of Fees that comes with selling online and keeping track of everything. But selling online can be Fun.

@KrauseHome I would prefer to do it in person as well. That way you don't have to pay all the shipping & handling and you know that the package has been delivered.

I really don't like to sell online because so many people do not keep their dedications. For example, on sale groups on Facebook, I can set up meetings with people that I must travel up to 30 miles for and the people don't show up. I waste a valuable part of my day doing this and only lose money in the amount of gas it takes to keep up with wild goose chases. When it comes to sites like Amazon or Ebay, I simply lose my patience when it comes to selling. That's something I hope to work on since selling on sites like those can be so profitable. I enjoy buying from online sites because the price is very cheap and I love the feeling of having a new box pop up on my door!

Yes the sites online via Facebook or aps are many times hard to get people to be commited and complete the Sale and that can be very frustrating.

Many times, that is what I like to sell is items that are hard to find elsewhere. Even when I sell items at the Flea Markets and such it is the same thing, but I prefer sticking to New.

Yes, shopping online does help the seller if it is sights like eBay.com, Bonanza.com, Etsy.com, and Amazon, etc. It is always good business when buying from the small people out there to help keep money coming in.
