So I got scammed twice in one week!.. Ugg!!!

So two times in the past week I got scammed. I don't usually fall for so many things but I guess I am so desperate to earn some real income I am willing to try all kind of things. So the first scam was mycashtable, it was an online website, if you promote their link- they give you 25 dollars to sign up and 10 dollars for each person you sign up. Believe it or not , that part was easy, within 48 hours I had just over 700 dollars. Only when it is time to cash out they send you to never ending surveys and you don't earn anything. Scam number two was a mystery shopping job. I really thought it was for real and when I received a priority envelope from the company with a cashier's check and a letter with the information what to do, for sure I thought wow finally a real one. I tell my daughter, change of plans we are going to the bank and going on a shopping excursion if you will. So I go to the bank it is written on and cash the check, only to sit there for 15 minutes waiting for the teller to tell me the check is fake. He said it truly looked real and it is even a real account number but, I guess their is record of cashier's check and no record of the check that was given to me so they could not cash. I am so glad I went to the bank and found out the hard was it was a scam as if I would have cashed in Amscot or walmart or something they probably would have cashed and then they would have come after me for the money, that of course I would have spent on the things they wanted me to evaluate, moneygram. I really should have known it was all too good to be true, but with my personal situations not being at their best right now I felt like I should at least try.

I am so glad the bank caught that scam for you! It is so nasty that people want to scam one another. Mystery shopping companies send you money AFTER you do the job and submit the report and the client accepts the report. Most pay once a month the month after you do the work.

@Lisa810 Here is a list of legitimate companies. Scroll to the bottom of the page and there is a link in blue that lists companies.

I am so sorry to hear you were scammed but I am glad you did not actually loose any money. There are legit mystery shopping jobs though. @paigea does mystery shopping and had given me information on them.

Thats so sad to hear, internet is filled with spams those days. You should have done research on internet about the Website, if its really legitimate before giving a try. If it was that easy to make money as you said "within 48 hours I had just over 700 dollars" Everyone with an Internet access should be Millionaire .

I felt like this has got to be a scam but then I saw the money in the account so then I thought wow a miracle they just want to direct traffic or whatever, but well they got me and yes I am glad I did not lose any actual money :)
