The weather improved today and it was quite pleasant out when I made my first venture to the shops in days. It was still a bank holiday because of New Year’s Day falling over the weekend, but buses in Preston ran an ordinary Sunday service. I picked up a new tin-opener as mine broke yesterday, and did a little other shopping. Among my purchases was some discount Stollen, which is normally expensive here but probably not so popular after Xmas. I also discovered Confit Duck And Boozy Berry Crisps which are very nice and again, very cheap. I job searched and later, on a recommendation right here on Mylot, I subscribed to a website called Niume which looks very promising. I want a better outlet for my photo images than Clickasnap which is very slow to pay out and you have to earn $25 there while Niume pays out every $10.00. It’s early days yet but I’ll see how it goes. Arthur Chappell
