Looking at my e-mail and I find a good housekeeping mail with a link to an article....

"Why I married myself"
That is really weird! But this lady is entitled to her own opinion. But so am I. I can think of more productive ideas than that. It is a bit self indulged in my opinion.
I guess that they have their own intentions of doing something like this, kind of like a fashion statement so to say.

I believe it has something to do with being self committed until she finds mister right.

@His_chariot It is just very strange. If she married herself, is she guilty of adultery if she finds someone?

That may be the same article I saw many months ago. A woman "married" herself. She had an actual ceremony with guests. She had come out of a bad divorce and vowed not to marry again and only love herself.

@His_chariot Before I read that, I honestly had never thought that some people would consider that.

I think it is a trendy thing these days. What ever works I guess, but extreme measures.

What some people have to do, to feel a self commitment!

Ah sometimes I threaten to do that myself. Ha ha. But indeed it is slightly odd. What if they get married for real to someone else? Do they need to divorce themselves?

Good question, kind of an extreme, don't you think? I think it is an oncoming trend these days, or something like that.

Was that the name of the article? How did she describe how she married herself?

Yes, I believe so. I think it is a new trend. I believe is a self commitment type of thing. I doubt it is a legal marriage. Kind of strange.

That is a bit strange. (and I agree with self indulged). Good housekeeping...haven't read one of those in years except at a doctors office.
