Mistakenly writing 2016 the first day back to work

I purpose to make the change over on the first of the year. I used to always write the old year on my checks and everything else for almost three months into the new year. Then one year, I purposed not to do that again and to remember what year it was. It worked. I don't have that problem any longer.

This happens all the time, I fear that it will happen again in the future.

I go back to work tomorrow so I am sure I will do it many times. It takes a little getting use to.
