Got my newest novel roughed out, soon to finish another one too

I just finished the rough draft and then the first draft on my NaNoWriMo novel for this year, "Silverwings." It's about an apprentice mage who finds a winged horse in the forest behind her home. It's all well and good, except the mare is running away from a really nasty owner, wants the apprentice mage to be her new best friend, and oh - did I mention that this is a highly valuable creature and her mean owner wants her back?
I wrote the other novel, "Rageth," last year during November and never finished it, so now I'm finally getting to that one now that "Silverwings" is all written and only needs editing. That one's a dark comedy about a customer service worker who has to deal with a vengeful spirit that's invaded her phone system and entirely her entire city's electrical grid. The only thing that holds it back, as it turns out, is really good classic heavy metal.
So I've got plenty to do and I'm having fun. I've got to paint something for the cover, too, because this picture is just a cheapie from Pixabay that I was using as a temporary.

I know enough to not make the dumb mistakes I've seen in other books. I know what you mean, though. Sometimes those mistakes can be funny or sad, depending on the context. For instance, I refer to the importance of grooming and hoof picking, that a horse can only run so long and isn't like a car where you just start it up and go till they run out of gas, and the idea that a flying horse would need a LOT of energy.

@Rohvannyn If it's a fantasy horse then you have a lot of leeway but I've read westerns where they pat the horse on the flank which no horseman would ever do. Just thought I'd mention it and I hope you didn't mind. :)

@JudyEv Mind? Not at all! I'm pleased to tell you there's no flank-patting. Only neck rubs, things like that.

Good job bringing your NaNo project to completion. I take part in NaNoWriMo every year, too, at least for the last six years. Only one of my previous NaNo projects made it into publication, but this year's is on its way to my editor and should be available by summer. Keep up the good work.

Have you written a lot of books and have you published them? I am so glad you have the rough draft of this one done.

I have a novel that's been released already, and some other stuff - you can find them on under the "books" section. Considering that I just finished the first draft of one of them and still have to finish the last chapter of the other, I haven't released these new ones yet.
