Angus 10th Birthday

Angus is our Cavalier King Charles spaniel dog. He turned 10 years old yesterday. As what I have known, 1 year of a dog is equivalent to 7 years old human being. So that means he is a 70 years old dog now. A senior citizen
. Older than me.
Angus is indeed getting old and he can't hear much anymore and he is always tired. I hope he will stay with us for many years. Yesterday, I just gave him watermelon as he loved it so much. He loved munching it cold.That was his birthday surprise.
Btw, happy new year to all of you Mylotters. This is my first post this year. Last month was a lot happening in my real life that I was so busy. I will try posting discussion again. I hope your holidays was a good one to remember. CHEERS

I hope he lives up to 20 years. I have read in a book that a healthy dog could leave up to 25 years. Those dogs are usually fed on BARF.

Yes, Angus according to dog's number of years is already 70 year old . So senior already . But it's nice to know , he is still with you guys despite the old age already .
Happy New Year ! I wasn't here also from 25th to 31st noon because our electricity was cut by Nina .

oh, i thought angus was only 3 or 5 years old. we've had dogs and cats through the years, but it never occurred to us to check if they can eat fruits. happy new year, thelma!

Dogs eat fruits. Angus eat tomato, carrot, apple and watermelon. He eats banana too but only when it's fried. Banana turon is his favourite. Happy new year, too @hereandthere.

Depending on whether that is a small or medium size of dog he is between 56 and 60. It is not 7 years every year, they have readjusted the age scale for dogs.

One of our dogs is around this age. We were told certain breeds age faster than others. Ours is supposed to be around 55, according to the vet. We don't believe it. He act old and slow! Think 70 is at least how old he must feel and be.

Yes, we would never know exactly how dogs really feel @PatZAnthony. We just pray that they live happy and without pain.
