My daughter frustrates me so much

I have a daughter that is 22 and I was declared by the court to be her legal guardian. She has mental health issues of which are bipolar, oppositional defiance disorder, major depression, dwarfism and mild MR. I have gone years with getting her help and yes I have done too much for her in the past which I took full responsibility for. I was told I have to let her learn her own lessons and have been trying to for the past 6 years. She has been in hospitals and group homes and every time she gets kicked out because of her behaviors. The last time she was in the hospital she was told by the doctors, myself and other staff that she was at her last chance before being homeless and they found her a home to living in. Well that lasted a month and she has been kicked out. I have had to try really hard not to rescue her and I told her she had to find a place to live. Oh and no family will take her because she has burned so many bridges the last one being she was so bad at her Grandma's that her grandma ended up in the hospital because of all the stress. So the past 5 days she has been very mean to me and I do my best to ignore her since I know she is just trying to get a rise out of me. I didn't argue with her so this morning I was getting I love you mom text messages. Then I got one stating she found an apartment and wanted to know if she should contact them. I checked out the apartment to find there is no way she can afford it even living with a roommate she says she has. I tried explaining it to her and she started yelling at me again it was all my fault she doesn't have a place and so on. I refused to debate it with her and said good bye. She then texts me and says I need your help mom. I want to pull my hair out. I understand her disease and everything but this is an on going thing and I have no clue what to do with her anymore. She gets help she agrees to work her program and all is good then she stops. I don't want her homeless but I don't know what else to do with her. Way too frustrated for a new year.

I'm sorry that you're having problems with your daughter. It can't be easy at all. I'm sorry it's been so hard. I do hope things change.

This would indeed be very frustrating. I am so sorry but I don't have any answers either.

Isn't there anyone to help you? A social worker or something to advise you what to do?

@Tricia53 Maybe, when she has had enough, she will straighten herself out.

I have never dealt with such a situation so I can't really say what to do. But I understand you are having a tough time there. I think your daughter too tries to stick at your side but then her disease perhaps just doesn't let her. I hope you guys find peace real soon.

Is she on any Medication? I've been around people like her, sometimes it's best to just walk away and let it pass.

She is on medication. She actually had to change psychiatrists because the one she had for years finally got fed up with her not taking her meds correctly and not listening. I am sure he was worried if something happened that it would come back on him. She takes her meds but not consistently but I begged her new doctor to find one that could be given as a shot so she can't skip doses. I am not sure how that one is working without the others she is supposed to taking but not doing it.
