Death's Door (Part 4) The Queen of Aura

Jason and Wenny reached the Land of Shazzan before sundown. Wenny took Jason into a small, wooden cabin. "This is where I stay when I am not out among the people of Shazzan. The village has over 3,000 folks that live and work here. I am their "Protector." I have fought various beasts and dark creatures over the past year. I have many special powers. Now I must be prepared to use those powers against the Enchantress. You will also have powers. What they are I cannot tell." Jason spoke, "I have strength. I feel incredibly strong. It happened very suddenly back in the forest. I do not know what other powers that I may possess." Wenny was about to speak when suddenly a blinding light circled the home. A woman appeared from the light. She was beautiful. She must have been in her thirties. She had golden hair and wore a satin dress laced with emeralds. Wenny and Jason went outside to meet her. "Who are you?" asked Wenny. "My name is Elisa. I am the Queen of Aura. Aura is the name of this world. I was the one who brought you here, Wenny. You have been a valiant Protector. The old man in the store is named Anok. He let your curiosity get the best of you so that you could enter Death's Door. I searched your world for the perfect warriors. You have been selected to fight the Enchantress and bring peace to Aura." "But how are we going to defeat such a powerful woman?" asked Wenny. "You have powers that were given to you by me. You will need these powers along with your courage and wisdom to fight the Enchantress and her minions. It will not be easy." "In the morning, the Enchantress will be here. The Garganters will be here earlier to destroy Shazzan. The Garganters are winged devils who are half man, half demon. They fly swiftly and shoot fire from their eyes. Your first task will be to destroy the Garganters. You will need to do this before encountering the Enchantress. Along with her will be her pet crow, Jasper. Beware of this crow. He can transform into a Makka. A Makka is a giant winged creature that most resembles a dragon. Jasper would be a fierce menace if he transforms into a Makka." "How can I stand up against such monsters? I am only 19 years old. I have just arrived here. I don't know the land. I have never met the Enchantress. Quite frankly, I don't know why you selected me to be a part of this battle." "Don't worry Jason. You shall find our world to be of your liking. You shall learn about your powers in the next few hours. You will be ready to do battle." Queen Elisa spoke in a high pitch voice the following chant, "Aura deliver. Aura create. Aura appear. Aura is great!" Jason felt a sudden surge of energy. His mind was full of bright images. Flashes of happiness, pain, anxiety, bravery, quickly fell into place. "Ahhh," screamed Jason. "What is happening to me?" "You are being given great powers and skills. Between you and Wenny, your powers shall be enough to do battle against the Enchantress. Now go into a state of Coo for three hours." Coo is a sleep state. It relaxes the body and brings on a special serenity. "You will need your sleep. In three hours, you shall receive your training. Rest, young ones." This ends Part 4. The next part will examine the training and also follow the progress of the Enchantress. The battle draws nearer.
