In fact it is not my first time to read this kind of news. Here some "Buddism believers" want to do something good, such as setting free some animals. They do so because they hope to have a good return. Usually they just set free fish to the river. But today the news said they set free the snakes to the beach. What's wrong with them? It can be dangerous for people. I don't agree setting free animals in this way is a kind behavior. At first, it creates a new business. People catch more fish/snakes for these "Buddism believers" and therefore they have something to set free. It is not good for the animlals and the people. I hope they will realize how stupid they do this.

@youless There are animals that should not be let free, like mice, rats and snakes.

There unfortunately are stupid people everywhere who do thoughtless things that can harm themselves and other people.

@masood72 in this case, it is probably better to say that these people are very reckless, and not actually "stupid". They are two sets of people in this story, right @youless? The ones who have "good intensions" to set the animals free, and the ones who are taking advantage by capturing and then selling the animals to the "do good-ers" Neither of them are stupid.. they are "very smart", I think.. but they don't seem to think, or realize that they are harming other people in what they are doing..

Perhaps reckless is a proper word to describe them. The good intersion shall come naturally without expecting some good return. Such as if an old granny doesn't want to go across the road, but you have to hold her hands to go across the road, I don't think it is a good behavior. If they really want to do something good for the animals, then take care of the homeless animals, donate to the departments who protect the animals etc. It is pointless to buy them and then set free them.

They should have at least set them loose in their natural habitat

In fact it is good already that they don't bother the lives of the animals.

That was a real stupidity.. Snakes are not so friendly with humans. They are harmful animals. Why do they have to set them free in the beach? Are there no humans using that beach?

@youless What kind of thinking they have? Do they collect it first then set it free by group?

@magallon I think some people catch these animals as the business. As they know they can sell to these "Buddism believers". And after these "Buddism believers" bought the animals, they set free them.

There's nothing wrong with setting the animals free to where they belong, but when it harms others, then there's definitely something wrong with it. Snakes at the beach? Why the beach? That's insane.

If they don't have such kind of "set free" behavior, the snakes will not be caught and they can still live happily to their places.

They don't know what they are doing. They should be aware if what they are doing will bring harm or good. Someone should enlighten them
