8 Years Old And I Wont Give Them Up Yet

I have two pairs of jeans that are my favorite jeans, because they fit me around the waist perfectly the way I like, but they are a little aged. I bought them 8 years ago and even though they are getting ragged in certain places, (I just stitched a tear in one yesterday), I will wear them both until they literally fall apart.
That is how I am. If I really like a piece of clothing because they fit well and still look good, I will wear them for as long as I can. That doesn't mean that I wont buy new clothes. I have bought new skirts, shirts etc. in the past 8 years.
Some people may call me cheap but others may call me thrifty.
How about you? Will you wear a pair of clothes until they fall apart?

I agree, it is a sad day when it has to be thrown away.

I wear them until I outgrow them. I have all kinds of sizes in the closet.

Yes, I have other sizes in the closet , some too small that I would love to be able to wear again, hopefully.

@AbbyGreenhill I am thinking that too. I tried on a skirt the other day, that use to not be that tight around the waist and now it is.

@LeaPea2417 I give up thinking I'll every wear the smaller sizes again.

Hey you are talking to the person who still has clothes from her days living in NYC and I moved to Riga, Latvia in 1994. In fact I still have an old trunk with my christening dress and shoes so that might make for an interesting post at one point because I can take a photo. Anyway I also have a closet full of dresses and tops I always hope to lose wight and wear again. I know they won't ever fit me again but it is a nice dream.![](/Content/images/emotes/happy.gif)

Just went threw a pair of summer shoes this summer that wound up with a hole in the sole but boy were they great shoes for a number of summers. My philosophy goes very much with this song

That is a good song to compare it to. Yes, I also had a pair of shoes in the past that I wore so much, I even took them to a shoe repair store and had the heals replaced. Then wore them until they really fell apart.

oh yes, I'm like that, too! I have two tshirts that I really do love. They have little holes in them (mostly from my cat grabbing me) so I mostly wear them around the house. But I just can't bring myself to dump them yet. And one is from 1996 on a trip to Texas! Old and worn but still loved!

Same here. They call me thrifty. I only buy things if they aren't usable anymore.

I am the same way. I have a pair of pjs that I got when I was in middle school and that was 9 years ago. I still wear them. They are my favorite. They are still to long for me.

I'll bet they are comfy as well. That counts for something.
