There were so much food to eat on our Family New Year's Eve dinner party,. Various pasta, chicken and beef dishes, traditional desserts, salads, fresh fruits, and cake, We had a great night eating and having fun till 4:00 am. But as we were cleaning up and keeping the leftovers, I noticed that the Black Forest Cake was left untouched. All other desserts were almost consumed but it was like no one had the appetite to eat cake that night. "It's okay", hubby said. There is still tomorrow for this cake. Do you love desserts? What dessert will you ignore?

@hereandthere Buco juice fresh from the tree is the healthiest because it is still free from uric acid.

It is because there were so many dishes and other dishes and salads that we ate first so our stomachs were already filled.

@SIMPLYD Well that is only when cake is the sweet thing, but if it is leche flan, or fruit salad or dark chocolate, I would give in.

@salonga But you know , to me even if i am already full , there's always a room for sweets specially that Black Forest cake . So that saying "There's always a room for sweets isn't true with you " .

I love desserts but Black Forest Cake is too rich to be eaten after a dinner.

Exactly, it was too rich after dinner. We enjoyed eating it the next day during snack time.

@salonga yes that is what we usually do.it is our belief that a taste of all the foods served may mean being bountiful in the coming year.

I can also ignore the cake. Hihihi Actually I also didn't taste the cake that was served that midnight. But I had a bite the next day. Hihihi If it's ice cream, that's what I can't resist. Hihihihi

Yes! Especially cakes and pudding. When we have family gatherings the desserts would usually be gone by the time the gathering is over.

I don't love desserts, but had a thin slice of chocolate cake on New Year's Eve and only ate 1/2. I was too full from appetizers and dinner. We had peach pie and fresh fruit salad, which everyone ate. The rest of the cake is now in the freezer.

@salonga I like it best when I'm too full to have a sugary dessert. I don't have much of a sweet tooth, but love salty snacks.

Black Forest cake is good but not something that appeals to everybody. I am not a dessert eater. It is very seldom that I eat something sweet. Lemon meringue pie would be my favorite though.
