teen problems

a friend of mine just told me her 14 year old son attempted suicide. it is because of a girlfriend who broke up with him. I dont know what to say. i also have a15 year old boy with a new girlfriend. are kids these days like that. are many of them disturbed. should i tell my son about this situation?

I think kids these days are like this. They can't take up the lows. I feel, as a parent it's our responsibility to teach my kid failures as sportingly as we celebrates the achievements :)

It's a phase and just passes by....we all have got through it dear....But it is important that we guide the young kids through such stuff....Yes you should talk to him is what I believe....Life evolves and so do relationships.... Keep shining and sharing.... Happiness to you always.... :)

Keep telling your children that you are and will be there for them no matter what. But when you are in love and it breaks your heart...you seem lost...nowhere to go...life is not that important to you anymore.
