In Spain, the national dish is called "Paella" and is originally from Valencia located in the eastern part of the country. It's basically made with rice and contains some vegetables, pieces of fish and rabbit or chicken, prawns. What is the typical plate in your country?

Difficult to name only one. I had a look and the two preferred dishes in France according to a poll from last year are "blanquette de veau", a veal ragout, and "boeuf Bourguignon", a beef stew, but I suppose that you would have as many responses than areas.

I'm from the Philippines and our national dish is called adobo. Basically, it is either chicken or pork marinated in soy sauce, vinegar, and garlic. The meat is fried in oil and then simmered in the marinade. Different provinces though have different versions of adobo.

Sounds interesting. In Spanish exists the word adobo which, translated into English, means dressing. Between chicken and pork, I rather prefer chicken.

@Meramar I prefer chicken as well. I also like that the meat is deep fried first before being simmered in the marinade.

That sounds amazing! Maybe not with rabbit though...I'll wait until the apocalypse to eat those. Um well are hot dogs and hamburgers a typical American meal? I don't know. The one thing that is amazing here is the fact we have all kinds of cuisines from other places. It is amazing!
