Good (late) morning, myLotters ! 1-8-16

The night Mom went to the hospital I was up until close to midnight, and that messed up my sleep pattern. This morning a friend from church called to see how I was doing and I was awake but still in bed. She said she couldn't get to church today 'cause of flooding. She lives just a town over, actually the same one where my brother lives. When I was talking to her I told her I could see raindrops on my window, but now I can hear the rain coming down on the skylight. My friend also said that her power had gone out earlier. She lives in the town where my brother lives, but a different area. Mom called, and told me that they were--not to go into detail, but trying to get a sample from her and it wasn't what they wanted when she produced it. She said she'd eaten some of the breakfast they'd given her, but her stomach had shrunk so she got full fast. Mom asked that I call my brother and tell him about what was going on, also that if she came home today it wouldn't be until much later (in the afternoon or evening?). She said the next time she called someone about what was going on it would be my brother, and then he could call me with whatever news. I haven't had any breakfast yet, but since it's nearly ten thirty now it will be more like brunch. Hope your day/evening/etc. is going well in your part of myLot land !
