A Winter's Rose

I am a winter rose, frozen in time. The dirt which seeded me, is now a distant memory. I am kept warm, by a frosted layer of love. I am kept alive, only by the heated hand of an angel. I find myself woven by a seamstress. I find myself crafted as if I were a wooden doll. I am only myself when I am tainted. I am only myself when I am found. I am a winter’s rose, destined to reside in a book of shadows for the rest of time.

@ladyraven, you are gifted. It was nice to read a real heartfelt sense of where a person is. The poem was expressive and was a great reflection of where we are as fragile human beings, thanks for sharing!
