English instructor or teacher

am I wrong if I said that an English conversation instructor doesn't teach, but instructs the class members to speak. cuz we ain't the teacher, but we're the instructor. what's your opinion about this??

I wouldn't say an instructor "doesn't teach", but their approach is more task-based rather than focusing on theories.
