Is smartwatch a failure product?

January 9, 2017 11:04am CST
I recently bought a smartwatch. Initially it looked uber cool. But I felt surprised when very few of the people here in my country are actually using it, even though it offers the convenience of not carrying a bulky mobile. That creates a doubt in my mind. Are smart watches really received well? Or is it a failure?

It's not a failure, may be people feel it's expensive and don't buy it. Why spend so much money, rather carry the mobile

But nowadays prices have come down. Apart from premium smart watches all other brands are coming at a price equal or even less than the mobiles

@varunsundars A smartwatch can't replace the mobile. may be it will take time.

It works well but sometimes the voice quality of calls is bit low. May be it would be the obvious reason for the failure...

I bought an apple smart watch last year it was a complete waste of money because I didn't use it as much since we have phones! I sold it a month ago best thing ever!
