Do you live in a pretty place

This is a place near us in the summer

I was really really reluctant to move to the place we live now, I lived in the south as a child and couldn't stand it, moving up north was one of the best things I ever did. But then the wife decides she wants to be closer to her parents who now live here so we moved. I have grown to like it more, but I would still move back up north in a heartbeat, the only blessing is, when summer rolls around, we do live in a pretty place. The people are rude as hell, but the views are amazing. Do you live in a nice looking part of the world?

I think I do. The winters can be bad but through the other season it is beautiful here. We have lots of beaches, lakes and an amazing river systems that runs through our area. The people are friendly too. I like living here.

I live in the LA area which is just a endless big city unless you go to the beach or mountains.

We shifted to a semi rural town from the madding city. The prettiness is created by me.

I live in a reasonably small town in the north east and couldn't really appreciate it when I was growing up. It's only since I grew up and saw some other places in the world that I realised I was quite lucky. I live in the same town now and although not everyone is friendly, it is a really great place as it is surrounded by fields and woods and it is only a couple of miles to the sea. There is not many crowds and some nice shop keepers who still talk to you like human beings and not like robots! That beach looks amazing.

@redurnet Sounds like a nice place, there are a few places here that aren't too robotic I just don't think southerners are friendly, I know because I was raised by them!

That is a lovely photo, is that where you live? I live in an ugly, horrid place, in the middle of Arizona, a desert state. It has no weather to speak of, most days are sunny with clear blue skies and not a breath of a breeze. It's like an oven 9 months out of the year and the other 3 months it's bearably cool. I'm only here because of my granddaughter. It's brown all over, hardly any green. It's awful here, I hate it. I hate it so much that when I die an am cremated I want my ashes anywhere but here. I don't care if someone dumps my ashes in a landfill as long as it's not in Arizona.

@dragon54u I live about ten minutes from here. Oh dear, that's awful! It sounds a bit grim! Ha ha fair enough, maybe get scattered somewhere cold with really changing weather!

I think so, we have spent the majority of our life in Connecticut we are used to the hills and the changing seasons and access to the seashore.

I could be in a better place. Most of my neighbors mind their own business though a few can't help but snoop around. What a nice view you've got.
