This Is Why There Are No Regrets in Heaven

When you're alone, do you ever remember back to a conversation you had earlier (that day, that week, that month, that year, that decade, that century, that millenium) and think, "Man; when they said that, I should`a said this!" Well, that also happens in Heaven ... only--in Heaven--you can go back & make it that way. You can make it so that you said 'what you should`a said' and it turned out different!

Really? Please tell me where it says that in the Bible.

'All-over-the-place!' The first place I think of is Matthew 5:48. Then I think of Matthew 16:19 & 18:18, where he (in His human form--Jesus) tells us that "what we (His disciples) hold bound will be held bound, and what we loose will be loosed. We apply that to historical events---true, we can't exactly change 'current conditions' by "going back and changing the past"; but we CAN change 'how past events BROUGHT ABOUT current conditions!' For example, my brain is damaged. I can't go back and UNdamage my brain, but I CAN CHANGE 'HOW it got damaged.' Right now, everybody agrees that it was damaged by "a careless driver's lack of attention to the pedestrians on the road." If we were to decide it happened some other way, my brain would still be as "damaged" as it is now; but I might feel differently about today's drivers---that they're less-lazy than I have to think they are now.
Be ye therefore perfect, even as your Father which is in heaven is perfect.

@mythociate Those passages have nothing to do with changing things in heaven as far as what we experienced on earth. We can't undo the damage done. However, once we enter eternity, our bodies will be changed and we will have perfect bodies, no more pain, no more sickness. That's from 1 Corinthians 15.

@just4him "And he will wipe away your tears." Just like the Bible doesn't tell children the specifics of 'the childbirth operation,' it doesn't tell us the specifics of 'the wiping-away operation.' Eternity is not 'a thing that's waiting to start,' it is ALL TIME---all time that ever was, that ever is and that ever will be. When you are in Heaven ... sure, the damage-done will remain where the damage-done is; but you won't be connected to it 'any more' (until you decide to be connected again)

Nice point of view. Thanks for sharing. Indeed there are no regrets in Heaven.
