The Haunting Winds

The haunting winds
Sweep you away.
They've come together
And wish to play.
You aren't so thrilled
At the prospect right now.
You've just witnessed
A flying cow.
The winds just laugh.
They say together,
"Isn't it a wonderful
Gusty weather?"
You shake your head
And then say, "No!
I wish that you would
Go, go, go!"
The winds get angry.
They get very upset.
"How dare you say this.
You shall regret."
"We will blow your house down.
We know that we can.
We'll spread destruction
All over the land."
You apologize quickly.
The winds calm down.
You thank the winds
For not hanging around.
"I like the breeze.
You do that best."
The winds agree
And then confess.
"Sometimes we just
Get carried away.
We'll behave for now
And let you play."
"Thank you, thank you,
You are most kind.
Your change of heart
Brings me peace of mind."

I don't care much for the wind. A breeze it much better. Great poem.

Great poem here. Care to share your inspiration for it?
My favorite verse is the last one no doubt:
Thank you, thank you,
You are most kind.
Your change of heart
Brings me peace of mind
