I found a book in the cabinet inside the testing room.
Its title is The Parent's Guide to Baby Names.
Written on this book are the different names from A to Z and its origin and meaning.
There is also a list of top 100 names..
I found my name on the top 100 and it is on number 96..
My name has a Greek origin and its meaning is "a Christian".
Are you interested to know yours?
Then just ask me and I will tell you...

Tree Sap or Jewel.
No, I'm not kidding. My name is Amber and it literally means "Tree Sap" Or "Jewel" depending on which source you ask.
I believe Lynn (my middle name) is "Lake"
My last name, though I won't divulge it (I refer to my maiden name here) means "Horse" or "Horse Lord"

Lynn is an English name which means Pool. so you are right too because a pool is composed of water.

@magallon Amber Lynn is what my father named me. Had my mother had the choice of naming me, I'd be called Adrian Nicole.

@magallon i was named after that actress Ingrid Bergman actually, but before my parents decided my name, they and my aunts also thought of naming me Brigitte or Grace (my birthday is the same as Princess Grace Kelly) until my father and mother had the final say, Ingrid.my father though gave me a second name, and he was the only one in my family calling me Marinette.

@TheInvisibleMan yes, i agree. I also think that we should be informed about how and why we were named that way...

@hereandthere is that what you think?
For me it is not merely coincidence because i believe that our name reflects to our personality...maybe not all but most... I presumed..

Actually I don't remember what language or what origin but mine means "Grace" I found that comforting. Also the origins of names seems intriguing to me. How do we get our name? I mean obviously our parents. But was that name "meant" for us by a higher power before that?
