that should be the theme song of my house (see monsters, inc)
while we're on the subject of batteries (my last post)..
can we talk about battery thieves!
no..not in the store..i mean my own family.
i usually have a stash in the cabinet..it's new england,we have storms..
and with all the gadgets people use nowadays, from remotes to phones..triple A and double A seem to be a "blink you'll miss it" resource around here.
now y'know..batteries are meant to be used..that's what they're for..
but if you use them up,you COULD say something..or better yet, replace them!
nothing like a blackout and we have no light cause somebody was a jerk..
and before you say light a candle..they steal my lighters too..
*sigh* time to get a lock box.

I remember that scene from Monsters, Inc.
So sorry you had to go through this. Nothing more I despise than people 'borrowing' stuff and not returning/replacing it.

@bunnybon7 people who neglect to return borrowed items are disrespectful in my belief.

I agree and husband is the only one in my house that drives, so you think he could make a quick trip to the store. Its true I use some of them, but end up buying all of them. Everything seems to use batteries now.

I know!! right? thats how it is here. i try and keep such things in stock. cause no one else seems to remember to buy or maybe they just think i should always be the one to buy. i keep those things in my room lately, but then they come ask me for them. younger generation cant seem to realize such things are like a "staple" for living these days

They are a must have here too. We lose power constantly.
