Good dieting + Exercise = Losing Weight

I will be honest...exercise can sometimes be hard especially when you are tired or you are just not in the mood. Many persons I know have given up on exercising because they claim it doesn't work. But what I ask is - "how do you expect it to work when you are not maintaining a healthy diet?" When they exercise, they go out shortly after and stack up on fast foods and endless sweeteners! Rather ridiculous! I normally make up my diet with mostly fruits and vegetables and a lot of green juice. This they say they cannot survive on because they will get hungry too quick...I do "let it go" like once or twice a month with a few fries but that's it. How do you work on losing weight?

I like exercising a lot, it's great for stress relief and helps my mind relax. I am taking a break now because it's the flu season here and I was sick twice this month. I have noticed that only on my days off, I might want some chocolate or junk food. On the workout days I am craving fruits like bananas or apples. Do you crave the healthy food when you are exercising?

I always feel the need for banana and apples too! I also love to have papaya and pineapple. I only have junk food like once or twice a month and it's mostly when I just feel like giving a little "diet trouble".

@besweet The "exercise breaks" always have me breaking the rules...like for Christmas, I was on a break and sure enough I put on a little extra but is now working to get it off.

That is the only way to loss weight. You have to make healthier food choice and exercise. If you want it you have to work for it. There is no simple fix.

Well said! Anything one needs, they have to work for it. At first it wasn't as easy to simply changed my regular diet but when I realized the goals I needed to achieve, I had to take that step!

no one like exercise but rather doing this I go to walk every day for 15 minutes and take 2 healthy meal, 2 brekfast at the regular time a day.and keep me hydrated, drinking lots of water make your digestive system fast and it helps you to lose weight. and the best thing you should do is take 3/4 cup of green tea.yes that is true .Many studies have shown that green tea can increase fat burning and help you lose weight. also proven that Green Tea Increases Fat Burning, Especially During Exercise.so if you are doing exercise then must drink green tea before a start. you will really feel the difference

@Jodysmith Like myself it was hard at first but then I started viewing some viewing some inspirationphotos of others so I finally let my "tomorrow" arrive. Since then, seeing my results, it has become one of my strongest motivations.

@Jam4321 Damn, it's so yummy! "Tomorrow is the day" - I've been saying this a year already, and still waiting for tomorrow to come. What should I do to really motivate myself?

A lot of people make the mistake of thinking that exercise alone can make you lose weight. I'm sure it can but you'd have to do an awful lot of exercise. It's important to maintain a healthy diet. Personally, I lost 6 stone by changing my eating habits. There are many misconceptions when it comes to weight. Along with the myth that you can lose weight through exercise, there's also the assumption that overweight people eat too much and they only have to eat less to lose weight. As I said, I lost 6 stone by changing my eating habits. I try to exercise but I am lazy! It helps to tone up so it's possible to lose inches without losing lbs but it is really our diet that has the most influence. It also makes no sense to exercise for health if you eat junk food all the time. However much exercise you do, you will not be healthy if you live on McDonald's and takeaways!

Point on! There are so many misconception where health and losing weight is concerned. Also, the fact about fat people eating less...that are ridiculous and would rather harm them than doing them any good.

Well eating healthy food on regular intervals i.e. almost after every 2 hours, with minimum intake of sugar (only in tea) and finally no salt after 9 PM helps me reduce weight. I reduced approx 6 Kg's in a month... :D
