No one is right

I have learned my lesson. Never. NEVER WILL I EVER go onto another religious post speaking their religious beliefs. Nope, never never never NEVER. I have been depressed for two bloody days because people just gang up on me. This is not just on mylot but other places too. I will come out an say it, I AM POLYTHEISTIC and stop shoving your religion in my face! I do not shove my multiple gods down your throat, and you shouldn't throw your God or spaghetti monsters down mine. I don't even like spaghetti. I believe everyone had a right to what they believe in. I love learning about religions. Theology is one of my favorite things because I want to know WHY people believe in these things and how it all started. I have read the Christian Bible more times than I can even remember, I was raised in a Christian family both baptist and Mennonite I know the word of "God" and I know what I am talking about. But I also know that, especially people on here, you are aware you are getting paid to talk about the word of God especially when you shoving it in people's faces....Ahem...Yeah. Yeah. Let that sink in a little bit. At least with a facebook post, a random person is getting paid and not the two idiots arguing. I respect religious people so much, they have something they believe in, just like I do, they have something that makes them feel safe, just like I do. I don't care if you worship a pencil or some invisible being in the sky. As soon as you tell me I am wrong for what I believe in, I lose respect for you. You are not right. You are not wrong. I am not right. I am not wrong. That is what I believe. Perhaps the Christian God is really out there, perhaps we are only living takes to the elements, perhaps there is no higher being and we are just doomed to emptiness when we die. I don't know. And you don't know. If you want to believe the world was created by God, go for it, if you want to believe the world was created by a supernova, go for it. DO NOT tell someone is wrong when they believe in science instead of God though. The same goes for the afterlife. If someone wants to believe that they will see family, friends, pets, in the afterlife let them. It makes them feel safe and happy after they die. No one is right No one is wrong. So please. Have your religious discussions, but please...Be MORE open minded to other people's beliefs or nonbeliefs. I respect yours. Please respect mine and do not tell me I am wrong. I will never tell you, you are wrong. Because I have no idea if I am right. And that is exactly how it should be. Thank you

I'm going to look through your activity to attempt to find the basis for this post Years ago I learned religious posts cause trouble...so I went on them a lot New mylot is nothing compared to what it was...now admin stamps on nasty stuff fastwhereas back then you could have big fights Anyway..leaving the religion thing to one side, one thing I didn't like hearing was this " have been depressed for two bloody days because people just gang up on me"...if you get ganged up on message me as I like to argue. Even if I disagree with your point... if you get ganged up on I'll still argue

Yup I avoid religious and political posts, I keep my opinions to myself for those reasons. Some people think only their opinions count, I avoid those people too.

I'm sorry this has happened to you, I know just how you feel because it's happened to me. I don't know why people are so adamant that their religion is the only one that can insure entrance into paradise. I believe that whatever deity (s) are in charge, all he/she/it/they care about is that we treat each other well and spread love around. I saw a post on FB awhile back and it said something that really struck home with me, it was very wise. Funny, I don't remember what it was! Anyway, it was made by an atheist. I complimented them and apparently they looked at my page and found out that I am very spiritual. OMG, it was a two day barrage of vitriol not only from that person but from--it seemed--every other atheist on the planet!!! I got called names, was ridiculed, was cussed at, all because I as a religious person dared to compliment the thought of an atheist! I wish people would be open minded. It must hurt to have to hold those mental and emotional doors closed so tightly!

Respect is hard to come by when it comes to religion it seems.

Amen. You're so right. When I came to this site, I thought I had become a member of a Sunday school. I'm strictly against missionary work and refuse to argue with anyone. I'm occasionally addressed by Jehova's witnesses in our town. They can begin the conversation any way they like. I don't swallow the hook. I always tell them that I don't want to talk to them.
