Which is more popular and why? CD or DVD

Guys & Gals I think till now CD is popular but soon DVD will be more popular than CD. What do you think?

dvd it is gonna take over dvd very soon.I don't even have a dvd drive by the way.

i don't know about others but i prefer dvd's over cd's the reason is that..memory,handling.......the time will come[1-2 years]when dvd's will capture the whole market and blue ray disc will be waiting to take its position..n cd's will be like a historic thing
