Dark Night movie, good idea or not?

So there's a movie being shown at a festival that is called Dark Night and it is going to kind of reenact the shooting that happened here in Aurora during The Dark Knight. I was talking about this with my boyfriend and we both agreed it wasn't a good idea. I thought maybe if it focused on the people before and how Aurora handled it after maybe, but showing the shooting part when it hasn't been that long I think is distasteful. My boyfriend mentioned though how people not from here would be interested in seeing it because they wouldn't know about it as much as us who live here. So do you think it's a good idea to have this movie or not?

I think it's a horrible idea!! I remember hearing about it on the radio and starting to cry, and I was in Ohio. Why would anyone want to make a nation relive that horror? I just do not understand movie makers these days. For God's sake, there were children there that were gunned down. Who the hell wants to see a movie with that in it?! What a sick, sick idea.

I agree! It's such a bad thing to make a movie about and to have something that would have people relive went they went through is horrible

I'm not interested in seeing a reenactment of people getting shot, and I definitely think it's too soon. They can discuss what happened without showing the shooting (or even a reenactment of it). If you think it is going to upset you, I would suggest skipping it.

That's what I thought too, if they just had to make a movie don't show the theater part there's ways they can easily let you know what happened without actually showing it

I think it is disrespectful to the families who lost loved ones.

That is awful because apparently there are families who may never have wanted to be reminded of the tragic scene and to have it showing same place there...no way!
