Working from home is harder than it seems. If it was easy, everyone else will be doing it.

@coffeebreakwhatever everyone would be involved in some sort of 'work from home' job and will be happily 'working' in his or her pajamas!

I used to sell stuff I could find around my house, kinda like having an online garage sales - anything from books, clothing, dvds, toys and small household stuff. Now I only list few flat items that are easy to ship. I don't make much profits, but I've been having a pretty consistent sales.

I think you should just do data entry jobs since selling needs luck. I have been doing surveys recently and earn usd4 every month, i know that is not much but still I need money to survive.

Actually, it pretty much depends upon a) how much time you have b) how disciplined you are c) Your skill and speed, d) right type of assignments and e) how much do you expect to earn. I managed to earn enough for donations and some insurances from it so cool. Try iwriter and freelancer.

Do you earn a lot of money out from online work? I heard of it but not sure how it works.

If you really want to earn money to support your family then the only work I can think of will be to looking after other people's children.

Yes Trina, this is a good idea here ! As long as you like the job you are doing! There is a big demand for child care !

@trinapaige I know... Just think it like this, be happy (even when you don't earn any money) because you have a chance to stay home with your child/children. One day they will thank you for that, and you never know, they might look after you and spend money on you...

I work both online and offline. I work in a law firm and also for a lawyer in another country.
I'm also planning to sell things online and probably on Facebook.
There's so much you can do. If you have a hobby in doing crafts, you could sell it online. It's better to have your own business than to work for someone else.

I think one should balance both working at home and outside.
