Causes/number of deaths in the USA each year since 2002:
1. Heart Disease 610,000
2. Cancer 590,000
3. Tobacco 480,000
4. Obesity 112,000
5. Alcohol 88,000
6. Car wrecks 32,000
7. Guns 31,000
8. Pharmaceutical overdose 10,000
9. Food poisoning 3,000
10. Lightning strikes 25
11. Terrorism 2.5
If our country really wants to protect it's citizens, it should focus on
progress in medical/health issues and education of health issues instead of scaring them with a threat that is 10 times less prevalent than lightning strikes.
