Started a Bookstagram

Sooo...up until recently, I had never heard of a bookstagram before. Then I began following a page on Facebook for people who loved books and I learned that so many people had them. Basically, it is an Instagram account that is 100% focused on books. People post pictures of their books surrounded by flowers or other options and make it look like the book went to a fancy photo shoot. lol I decided to start one up and within two weeks my bookstagram account had more followers than my personal Instagram account. lol
I'm having a lot of fun with it. It's great to interact with fellow book lovers and see what everyone else is currently reading. The only problem is that I'm now constantly getting ideas for books I want to buy so my list is getting longer and longer. lol
Do any of you guys have a bookstagram account?

I've seen plenty of people share pictures of a book on their Kindle! :-)

@missjessicadawn Cool. I guess the e-book covers could count. But my Kindle doesn't have a camera. But my smartphone does.

This is the first I have heard of it... does sound like fun though! Now not spending a ton of money on every book that I want, could be a problem lol!!

I had not heard of a bookstagram account. Is it a regular Instagram account but devoted only to books? I am an Instagram newby, having just set up an account recently. Perhaps a bookstagram account would be a good way to showcase my own books.

Yes, it is a regular account only focused entirely on books! People post pictures of their books and talk about them. It's great! :-)

This is the first I've heard of it. I was on a Facebook page where cyclists posted photos of their bikes leaning on stuff, but that's about it.

You would be surprised at how many there are! Mine is @books_of_the_heart if you wanna take a look! I'm not great at the fancy pictures of books yet but some of my followers are amazing!

I have posted pics of books on Instagram, but I've never used the bookstagram hashtag.

That is interesting I have never heard of doing this. I think over the years I have posted a few photos on Instagram with books I was reading but I don't have a separate account for it.

Oooh, I follow a lot of these accounts on instagram and tumblr. It is so awesome! I don't read as much as I should be, but I'm trying. It is awesome that you are enjoying it!
