How famous is Baseball?

Why isn't baseball played in Olympics? Is it not popular or is it played by only few nations? How is the craze about baseball in the world? Is it got a wide popularity and fan following?

The US, Canada and Japan are, I think, the biggest countries it is popular in. Many have no real teams.

Ya, only few nations playing with no teams. But it feels like a version of cricket with pitch out of equation.
