say but with control

Human beings are blessed with a supreme power of expressing themselves.
This is common for all human beings but what draws a demarcation line is what and when they speak.
Control over speech is very important of you want to be heard. Speaking only for the sake of saying something will not let you anywhere.
Think before you speak and speak only what is justified and holds a stand.
And above all let your actions speak more than your words..
It is very easy to instruct others by using your mouth..If you have the real wit then use your hands to render support.

@amitkokiladitya Unless of course if you are in a state of anger..
Almost always we do not think about what we are going to say if we are in an intense emotion.
We just want to burst out what we feel.
We don't think anymore about the consequences.

We should always watch our words, before we speak. When I say something, I make sure that I should not be misunderstood and I am being heard by the person in front of me. I give equal opportunity to my listener to say his side of narrative. If I get a slightest hint that the person in front of me is showing disinterest in our conversation, I immediately quit.
There is saying - "Words are our slave, till we speak them, once we have spoken, we are slave of our words."
Therefore, we should always be careful when we speak something.
Do you ponder over before saying anything to your patient who has a serious kind of disease?

@amitkokiladitya Yes, sooner or later you will have to inform the patient if he has been suffering from serious disease so that s/he could get proper treatment.

With patients it is different.. I cannot hide the truth of their illness from them.
If it hs oral cancer I have to tell them.
It is my duty

@dpk262006 it is not later... It is at the moment itself and at times real hard.

I agree with you. Every time we should be careful in every word that we are going to say toward other people. Words already spoken cannot be taken back anymore. The other person might say sorry and others will forgive but the damage has already been done.

But sometimes it hurts

@amitkokiladitya yes very true. Most of the issues crop up only because we speak something we should not.
