Lying - How to you deal when lied to?

This past week the worst thing has happened to me. It isnt bad for some people but for me it was the worst.
The thing i hate the most is lies, doesnt matter how bad something could look or sound but the truth is always the best.
So a best friend of mine decided to lie to me about who he was drinking a coffee with. The problem here is the lying and who it was for. It was for my boyfriends ex that is trying to get everyone against each other at all costs.
The worst part is that she has done this before and yet he lied because of her, thyen she showed her true colors and he saw that there was a huge mistake in even trying to get her to feel better.
There is a Girlfriend of mine that thinks that i over reacted to the lying. But it wasnt an over reaction and he knows that because the one thing everyone knows i can rarely forgive is lies.
For all puposes i have spoken to him and did forgive him but with caution to not happen again.
Do you think i over reacted or would you do the same? Or diferent for that matter?

I don't like lying either and can never trust a liar because if they lied to me, how can I fully trust that person in the future?.

Oh, DRAMA. Please don't get all fired up over these stupid games people play. If the girl lies and schemes it just means she is terribly insecure and dissatisfied with her life. You should pity her.

I feel nothing for her. She is that kind of person that has 2 personalities in 5 min chainging constantly. She isnt even a person someone would want to call friend. She tries and gets people to pity her and that is something i will not do either.

I absolutly hate when people lie as well. I catch people in lies sometimes but usually let them slide if it is not too big a deal. With your boyfriend he should be honest about who he was drinking coffee with! Lying in a relationship like that is very bad.
