Ice belongs in a cup

What a hair raising commute. Last night was not hilarious. Roommate kept the car steady between 25 and 30 miles per hour. Supposed to be going 55. Ice and ice showers fell and wrapped the car in tight ice. She let her breath out when the car's wheels crunched onto the driveway. Last night I saw on Facebook that a lady I know watched a car near her on the road almost hit a semi cause the car's driver could not stop the way he or she usually did. Last night the reports went out that schools would not be open this morning. I got up to find that government buildings were closed and so was part of the interstate highway due to snow and ice. Yup. Hubby is again home. The temperatures are supposed to rise above freezing today- first time in weeks and weeks. Hubby walked out and found it terribly slippery and the car sat encased in ice. In a couple of hours I will go out and feed the chickens. I still believe that ice belongs in a cup not on roads and paths and decks!

You are so right. Glad you are OK and stay safe. Hope the temps warm things up and melt all that ice.

It's possible that we might get snow this weekend - freezing temperatures expected. I hope it warms up for you soon.
