Do you leave comments on older MyLot posts?

I have a routine when I come to MyLot. Usually I comment on comments on my posts, then visit the profiles of as many commenters as possible.
But occasionally I check the "related" posts to the right, and find myself commenting on a post that's months old. Sometimes I'm surprised by what I missed!
Do you ever go back and continue conversations on older posts? Or do you stick with the present?
The photo is of my "older" (1914) Gibson A-4 mandolin.

I think the suggested posts being referred to here are the same as those on the right of each of our screens.

I would certainly comment on a discussion that is up to 2 - 3 months old. There are always posts we didn't notice.

I go all over the place without looking at the date a post was originally started.
I barge in and comment on responses too, especially when I see a familiar face.
I haven't got back into a routine yet since I came back though as I have so much to catch up on it seems.

My sister played the mandolin, I remember plinking around with it when I was young.
Yes, I will comment on older posts. I also like to go to the "posts with no response". There is one there about the Backslash--it says a backslash can prevent you from replying or liking a post and lo and behold, I cannot like or reply to that post!
I find a lot of interesting things on the right side of the page in those older posts. I'm glad they put them there, especially when I learn something new I would not have if it wasn't there.

@TheHorse Oh, I'm sorry! I meant "backslash"! Leaving out one letter totally changes the meaning.

It's funny you should say that as @MarshaMusselman called me back to one of your old posts today. I don't often go back to old posts 'off my own bat', but occasionally something catches my eye.

Oddly enough, Janet, I never got notification of this mention that I know of anyway. And, I'm caught up so that's not why.

I work randomly. I come here in between some other tasks. So I like to interact with as many of my friends as possible. I have a few selected ones whom I try to interact with each day no doubt and that includes you. I want to learn your language. I want to understand the way you express. So yes, I do stalk you. After you, it would be pgn's turn to be victimized. lol. You have a very different way of expressing. And I also like to visit your posts because they are interesting and match my interests. Moreover, your opinions are kind of standard for me. So how much am I deviating in my thinking from the standard kind. On my older posts, I do reply to a few. But when I feel I am just doing it mechanically, I decide I will return later. :) Usually I manage. Sometimes I miss out.

@vandana7 I can attest that you have random pattern to your interactions. You are literally all over the place.

I do occasionally comment on older posts, but often first I look at that members activity, if they are fairly active then I comment. If it's been months and months I usually skip it.

It takes patience and time to dig into old posts. Also you have to make sure the poster is still active and not waste time on a departed member.

While I sometimes do this b/c they are on the sidebar and look interesting, we don't know if the person will see it, do we? Not everyone goes through notifications.

@TheHorse Some were wondering if we should just delete the older ones. Guess we should check and see if it matters.

@PatZAnthony Delete our own older posts? No way! What purpose would that serve?
