She is blessed to have a friend like you who is there for her. April is not too far off. Congratulations to her on her little boy. That is exciting.

@snowdiamond Yes it all comes pretty naturally once the baby arrives. Does she have any names picked out yet?

Congrats to her! And thumbs up to you for looking out for her and baby! My best friend came all the way from California to New York to help us. She let my husband go home and get real rest and also let me rest while she took care of the baby for the second night stay in the hospital it was the absolute best. She's a nurse at a children's hospital so her swaddling skills are top notch. Definitely something to practice.

@snowdiamond That is awesome. Even better for her because you can give her some breaks when she needs it!

That's very nice of you to be supportive to her. Maybe help her prepare with the baby's needs or where shes going to give birth.

As a mother of soon to be 4, it is definitely hard to do as a single and first time mom or parent. The only advice I can give and think of is to be there as much as you can for your friend. It will be very tiring and stressful in the beginning, There will be times where she just needs help because she may be too tired to keep her eyes even open, or the baby might cry a lot. Sometimes, in those situations, just hold your baby to try to calm them. When fussy a lot, it may mean the child is hungry or a diaper change or a nap. When the child naps, try to squeeze a nap in yourself.

His loss no more nothingness. You're more than a blessing to her in this case. Do everything you want and trust yourself as a parent. Don't let others advice discourage you when you remember how you were raised and what you feel is right. Enjoy him change in your face physically every stinking day and those little personalities will take you on a ride. Honestly have fun and have fun watching him learn.
