Floridian complaining about SNOW?

I live in Florida, but went up north for Christmas. Four weeks after my journey began it is finally over. My daughter wanted to see snow again. Well, she did. I don't think she will ask me to do that again. We got iced in. The company wasn't the most peaceful or even the quietest. All I can say is snow is beautiful, but I certainly don't want to be stuck in it again.

If you have to live and work in it, no it is not. I lived where it snowed for over half my life. I always thought it was beautiful especially for those who could take the time out to enjoy it. I hate being cold though, so I moved. LOL

@mommaj The cold is the worse and the driving in it. I would be happy with no snow ever!

@Happy2BeMe I don't like to drive in it. I always say if it is going to be cold it might as well snow. The snow is pretty and makes you forget about the cold. LOL

Being stuck in the snow is not much fun. I love the snow and miss it but I don't want to be stuck anywhere.

Amen to that. I always found it to be a natural beauty but it's not fun to be stuck. My poor kids aren't interested in going back anytime soon. LOL

Not a fan of snow and cold. However, being stuck in the snow can be great here if we are with the right people. When it has happened to us, we were fortunate to have plenty of firewood and someone to keep the fire going. Also, we had plenty of food, so not too much to complain about.

It's awesome if you are stuck with the right people. LOL We had heat and all the supplies we needed. That is the most important thing when living in a snow state or any state really ; Be prepared.

You can relate. LOL I went up north. Thankfully, not that far. LOL It snowed just enough to mess up the roads.

I feel bad for the Canadians who have to work and life in the snow. I don't think I would want that much snow. Florida is always nice this time of year, so I am glad to be back.

@paigea I am glad you both make the best of it and are enjoying it to the fullest. I hope you get more skiing in.

@mommaj The only bad thing about winter is it ends before I can get to the mountains and ski as much as I want to. We love love love winter and snow. My husband is retired and plays hockey every day. He says it is his childhood dream come true.
